Tubewell Installed in Gaibandha to Ensure Safe Drinking Water for Rural Families

Gaibandha, Bangladesh: A new tubewell has been installed in the Konchibari area of the Sundarganj subdistrict,  Gaibandha District, to provide safe drinking water for residents. The initiative, titled “Tubewell Project: 70,” was implemented in memory of Md. Emdadul Haque Biswas.

Miladin Foundation carried out the project as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to improve access to clean water in rural communities. The installation was officially completed on 03 January 2026.

Local villagers, including women and children, gathered at the site to express their gratitude. For years, many families in the area faced difficulties collecting safe drinking water, often relying on distant or unsafe sources. The newly installed tubewell is expected to significantly reduce waterborne diseases and ease daily hardship, particularly for women and children who are primarily responsible for water collection.

Community members stated that access to clean water will greatly improve health, hygiene, and overall living conditions in the area. Representatives of the Miladin Foundation reaffirmed their commitment to continuing similar projects in underserved regions of Bangladesh.

The Tubewell Project stands as another step toward ensuring safe and sustainable water access for vulnerable rural communities
