Background:
In the village of Aulakandi, Sherpur, Bogra, the local community has been struggling for a long time to establish a dedicated mosque. Currently, there is no proper mosque in the area; five daily prayers and Jumu'ah are held within the premises of the Aulakandi Orphanage and Madrasa. Since the students live and study in that same space, it creates significant congestion and logistical challenges for both the worshippers and the children.
The Current Crisis:
Last year, the Madrasa committee took a courageous step to purchase 10 decimals of land adjacent to the Madrasa for a permanent mosque. The total cost of the land is 5 Lakh BDT. Through local donations, they managed to pay 3 Lakh BDT as a down payment (Bayna). However, due to a shortage of further funds, the remaining 2 Lakh BDT is still outstanding. The landowner has set a strict deadline for the final payment, failing which the land and the initial investment are at risk.
Our Objective:
Miladin Foundation has stepped forward to support this cause. We aim to bridge the funding gap and ensure the land is secured so that the construction of the mosque can finally begin.
